Pipeline Inspection Co was started in 1953, the principal product of the company is the holiday detector. A “holiday” is a term used in the oil and gas industry to denote a defect in coated pipe.

SPY offers five portable holiday detectors, with infinite voltage settings to allowing for the exact voltage level for the coating you are inspecting, whatever the coating – extruded, tape or thin film epoxy coatings.

A range of electrodes which includes Spring, Brush and Conductive Rubber, are available to suit most applications.

SPY also manufacture a Pig TrackingSystem which are used to track movement of a pig as well as locating pigs that become stuck and/or lost in the pipeline.
